"There isn't going to be any rescue, we have to get out of here!"
He wiped the blood off of his forehead and cleaned off his hand with his pants as he stood back up and walked out of the room. He'd give her time to cool off, the look of shame on his face had she noticed it was enough to translate exactly how he felt about what had just transpired. He followed her into the elevator and pushed the button for the first floor then leaned against the wall farthest from her and looked at the floor with his hands in his pockets.
How the hell could he let one fucking dead man have so much fucking sway over him with just his words alone. He didn't say anything, apologizing might set her off after all he was kind of in the wrong for not controlling himself and flying off the handle the moment he learned the news about how Keto was here. So he opted to remain quiet.

"He's dead," Amy said to Adam, "you don't get to kill this one to clear your conscious more. You don't get to protect them from every mistake we made."
She was speaking from a place of anger but also from a point of view she had on this place. They were intruders here, and while she knew exactly where her mother was she wasn't going to just find her for the sake of it.
"You can't rob them of every bit of revenge they deserve," Amy followed, "just like I should rescue my mother and bring Mini to her so she can have a proper mother."
"I know." He responded, with a slow nod. That was literally all he could do really. There was a deep shame in his voice, "I.. I could-" He stopped himself and shook his head, there was no excuse, nothing he could say to try and justify himself. he couldn't control himself really. The level of insanity he was driven to while being his fucking lab rat still seemed to have a lingering effect on him that he thought he had control over. Losing that control and thus losing control over himself showed him just how much more work he needed.

"You need to keep control," Amy said, "all of this is behind and beneath you."
The elevator came to a stop and it opened, Knight was standing there and Amy and him locked eyes and he stepped aside letting her exit the elevator, as she did Deborah caught her eye on her right and she glanced at her and maintained eye contact with her until she finally went back to looking forward, Deborah could feel Amy's raw emotion play through her body, it gave her shivers as she was bonded to a sister she had never met.
"I know..." He responded letting her scold him. She was right though... he was dead, what happened to him hasn't happened to his younger self... yet. And for all they know it might never happen. He could hope anyways. "I won't let it happen again." He finally said, there was a quiet determination in his voice but he didn't say sorry. Not because he didn't think he had to but because he knew saying sorry instead of what he said wouldn't have helped anything.
He was still looking down until the elevator dinged open and in front of them was the old man and the grace series lady. He reached behind him and pulled the revolver, tossing it to Knight. It was his younger counterpart's gun after all and considering the newly founded relationship between knight and his younger self he was sure he'd have a better opportunity to see him again.
He didn't exit with Amy, he just stood there to take the elevator to where he was headed.

Down below Keto withered in pain and finally the one man dressed in the regalia of Mary's soldiers moved drawing a katana from seemingly nowhere as he cut down two on his draw and the follow up slice, he moved through the next three targets before they could raise their weapons cutting each down before coming to the CO where he grabbed him by the front of his uniform with his right hand having sheathed the sword after his last attack and shoved him in the direction of the pad.
"The code," he said.
The CO laughed, "you'll get nothing from me."
"Then your life," the man said and as he turned there was a glint of light that caught the swift blade and the CO fell in two cut from groin to skull. Keto saw the entire thing and watched as the man began to leave.
"Good luck, Himura," Keto growled and began to laugh through his pain.
The man stopped at the door and looked over to Keto, a smile crossed his lips, "you'll never leave that cell, dog."
"What, did you do," Keto asked, his eyes darted to the door and back to the man.
The elevator ride was quiet and he was reflecting until he heard the ding and the doors opened onto the floor he was getting off on. He stepped out and into the main lobby past people and outside next to one of the campfires, bumming a smoke off of someone before grabbing a bit of the flame and using it to light his cigarette before letting the wind take it and blow out the wisp.
Jesus that was idiotic. He kept thinking as he sat back in an empty fold out chair resting his head back and looking at the stars in the sky. How the hell did he lose control so fucking easily? Literally he was ten seconds from walking away before that bastard's voice triggered that whole fucking episode.
What would have happened if Amy, despite being pissed at him and not there to help him, hadn't been there to bail him out? How far gone to the virus would he have been, it was terrifying to think how easy it was, that one tiny slip up and he'd lost full control over his body. He was caged by his own mind and it happened so quickly. He had been warned about it, hell he was still in his acclimation period and his timeline's Sazon and Oleg had no idea how long that was going to be the case.
If Harmony was any example, then possibly years before he no longer had to worry about something like this. He closed his eyes for a moment and finally let out the smoke from the really long drag he had taken to calm his nerves.

Knight and Debora stepped down into the undercroft of the tower and moved toward the rooms where Keto was being held as they approached they immediately noticed the pools of blood protruding from the room. Knight moved into the room first seeing Keto still there but every one was dead aside from him. He noticed the keypad had been hit with a bladed weapon and was destroyed.
He knelt down and grabbed a radio calling it in.
No commotion was brought up about it as people took the elevator down to see what had happened. The night was calm still and while Adam was reflecting he heard humming coming from across the campfire, a little girl with brown hair was sitting in a chair with her knees brought up to her shoulders as she looked down into the fire humming a familiar tune he had heard many times over the radios.
"Birds, in the sky, carry these words for me," she began to sing, "life, tasted sweet. It let me live, it let me breath. Love so bad, but still, it saved my soul. Flowers of a brighter past, they bloomed so free, beneath the sun. Memories, I want to give them to you, so you can see what we left there..."
Her singing was quiet but it was full of life as she came to a finish, "When all hope bleeds out, what remains is doubt, should have left it all for you for tomorrow. As your time draws near, will you live in fear? Could have left it all for you, but we let go..."
She went back to humming the tune again perhaps not even noticing anyone was there to hear her sing.
He didn't look over when he finally heard the humming, it sounded really familiar though this time there seemed to be lyrics to the song? The voice sounded familiar though, if a lot less rough than the one he remembered. He took another drag from his smoke and finally looked over to see a really young Alicia Chambers, though currently she didn't carry that last name.
God she must've been close to Mini and Kiddo's age if not a bit younger. So weird to see he took in a breath through his nose before letting it out. Mistake, the world still smelled dead and he nearly gagged. "You're up late." He said finishing his cigarette and throwing it into the fire.

"There's nothing to do," she said quietly, "everyone is in bed and it's too late to practice with my rifle."
Even though she was a lot younger than the girl Adam knew in the present day she still had the same eager look in her big brown eyes and her hair was pulled back almost exactly the same as if it was just a habit in the current day that carried on from her childhood.
"Are you okay," she asked clearly noticing he wasn't given how he was acting as if he was stressed or worn out, a thing she was used to seeing with her mothers guards. A man caught her eye that was moving away from the building but she didn't say anything as he moved into the darkness and headed toward where one of the outposts was.
"You know we have a whole underground training facility you can use right? It won't disturb anyone." He slouched in his chair for a moment, "It's hard to explain. I'll be alright though, I think." He replied noticing something catch the girl's attention he looked in that direction for a moment not really noticing anything even when he reached out with his senses so he turned and faced the girl again.
"Mary's kid right?" He asked, god it was so weird having to play fucking dumb with people. Granted this was not the same Alicia he knew at all, she was a kid and despite things being similar, she wasn't a regenerator, nor was she adopted by Chambers. "You making friends?"

"The sims don't move the same way the Z's do," she said quietly, "too predictable."
She nodded at his first question and said her name, "I don't have friends. My mom makes it hard for me to get to know people since so many of the kids are afraid of her or their parent's don't like her so they tell their kids to avoid me. It's okay though, I like the quiet."
True to her nature and the nickname that would follow her to adulthood.
"Eh, I mean technically most of the people in rabbit I've known all my life so yes and no." He replied with a shrug before sitting up, "If you do ever want to make friends by the way, there's two kids here around your age, maybe a little older. A kid that looks like me a little and the girl that usually hangs around them. They don't exactly have friends besides each other so I'm sure they wouldn't mind hanging out with you."
He explained, telling her their names. "They're pretty shy and sometimes they're quiet. I'm sure they'd make really good friends if you wanted." He remarked, considering the three of them in his time were allies and comrades in arms it made sense. Though he was still unsure about whether or not Whisper in his timeline would actually consider him as a friend or just another person on the field that she needed to provide over watch for.
