The Gun of the Monster -Maiden of Revolution-

"She got tired of watching her friends and family die for her," Amy replied as he sheathed his sword. If they were done then she was done, she hopped down into the crater and raised her hands lifting the earth beneath her feet to level the street out again then swiped her hand to move the debris from the vehicles to the side of the street to clear the path.

"Go to Nico at Kendos," Amy said, "she'll build you a new Casull."

Least she wasn't completely heartless, she turned her back on him and was moving back toward the RPD gates before stopping, "do not come back here looking for another fight. I don't need the Red Devil as an ally, removing you wouldn't hurt me in the slightest."

[The Reaper]

He smiled, what a conceited little bitch she had become. She dared to turn her back on him and threaten him in the same turn? He was showing mercy to her by sheathing his sword and declaring the fight over but now she was disrespecting him, something even he didn't do to his enemies, something that actually pissed him off enough to draw the smile on his face.

"Turn around," he said and grabbed the hilt of his sword once again and began slowly pulling it from his sheath, "you could have simply walked away with your advice and we would have been fine. Instead your pride got the best of you and its not in my nature to allow that. Now the real fight begins."

As he said that the swarm of bats cut through the air as his familiars were spreading through the area, it didn't matter how much of this ruined city he had to destroy he was going to kill her now whether she liked it or not. Alice would be proud of the monster she created but he heard Integra's orders clearly, 'You will search and destroy! SEARCH AND DESTROY! Any resistance you encounter is to be CRUSHED! Hellsing does not run from our enemies! Kill them all! I order you to leave nothing but bloody stains in your wake!'

"Yes my master," he growled as if she said those orders a moment a go, his twisted smile was glistening with saliva as the light caught his fangs, the air was thick with the black mist and several tendrils shot from the smoke toward her the moment he faded into it for his first attack. Appearing behind the strikes moving rapidly for her sword slashing for her torso.

He said it and she obeyed turning to face him as he began to berate her on her choice of words. He was mad at her pride yet here he was fending for his own. Pot, kettle. She was prepared for his attack long before he did it, his set up was always predictable. He enjoyed telegraphing everything before he did it, it was a taunt in a physical form because when it hit you it was always your own fault for not running from it.

The tendrils came striking at her and she began the same dodge pattern she took with his bullet stepping calmly and casually out of the way of each one then he caught her attention in the corner of her eye, a sneak attack while she was focusing on the first wave, smart, it made her focus divert from one attack to the next, she wouldn't be able to fully avoid the damage as she took several narrow grazes from the tendrils and moved into his range pushing his sword down with the flat side of her hand before driving the same hand up through his grip and into his chest knocking him away from her.

Her right hand shot sideways throwing a telekinetic blast in the wake of the familiar mist and shell shocked the area with what looked almost like a flash of light but sounded ungodly when the ground shook from whatever force she hammered into the pavement which dispersed his mist. The sound echoed across the mountains and the vibrations shook the foundation of the ruins causing several collapses of debris that wasn't sturdy in the surrounding area and everyone in the close proximity to feel a rise in pressure that clogged their ears painfully.

She was no longer standing on the ground however, her feet were several inches off the pavement and her left and right hands were swirling with the same red energy that her left eye gave off. He wanted to go all out then it was time to push her body to its absolute limit. She lifted her left hand using the same tactic he did raising sharp earth created spikes through the ground toward him at the same time each one exploded like a grenade sending shrapnel through the air in his direction.

In the shrinking space between the Red Devil and the Maiden of Revolution, the ground exploded.

Perhaps with their preternatural sight they saw the strike coming. Certainly they would have heard it coming; a keening whistle of air, rising to an ear-ringing pitch, as something plummeted towards them from above. It fell to the ground between the two monsters, cratered the earth, threw up a blasting shockwave and an opaque plume of dust as if a bomb had struck.

A rush of wind waved the dust away, and at the foot of a new crater stood a third monster.



A body of impossible muscle rippled and tensed beneath chitinous armour. Four fiendish wings unfurled, sporting talons that looked as if they could rip a tank open. Innumerable predatory eyes all over its form twitched and focused, staring at both Alucard and Amy at once. The beast's head, crowned with toothy spikes that flexed like the maw of some other equally unspeakable monster, turned towards the vampire, and briefly regarded his sword.

"That's enough." The voice rumbled with power that might set the ground to trembling. "You threaten people your master would make allies of, Alucard. No more."

[The Reaper]

He stepped through the rubble and smoke seemingly unaffected by her attack, that wasn't the truth but he used the moment of Roberts arrival to heal himself during the distracting time and raised his sword once again ready to continue the battle. Should he stand in his way then he too would be made a lesson of as well.

"Perhaps you weren't warned properly," he said and his familiars began to reform, the army of ghouls standing in their wake, the hellhounds taking their places, bats swarming over head, "those who stand in the way of my prey become prey."

"Enough!"

The shadows around his familiars shot up, another group had formed yet her familiars didn't resemble ghouls, they were Sirens of sort, high cheek bones, black eyes, paper white skin, claws and sharp teeth. The call of the raven could be heard mixing with the bats above both swarming around one another. There was a huge contrast in the black mist he created and the sharp shadows that lanced off her familiars, there was also an orange glow that accompanied the inner darkness of the heart of her shadows.

"You two are unbelievable," she said, she was holding a MASSIVE weapon in her right hand aiming it straight at Alucard while several of her Sirens were behind and next to Grace, "masters orders or not, you continue to act against Helsing and on your own and I will aid in bringing you down."

Amy released the power she was holding and her feet touched the ground, for all she cared now it was over. If he was to attack she knew there were two to return fire on him now.

"I'm done here," Amy said finally.

[Sparda]

He had wondered when Seras would arrive. Surely they had both smelled the trouble coming, known to keep an eye on Alucard. He had always done as he wished, away from the orders of his master, but he couldn't be suffered to cause trouble.

"Amy Grace," the winged BOW called to the Maiden of Revolution as she walked away. His eyes - those in his head at least - remained fixed on Alucard. "I would have words with you on behalf of Helsing another time, away from noisy distractions." His offer thus laid on the table, though he couldn't fault her if she were to ignore him out of hand after Alucard's ridiculous display, he turned fully towards the elder vampire.

"I told you when we were first introduced that you would find me more than equal to your tests, but this isn't the time or the place. Elias wants TYRANT on side for what's to come. I'm not about to let you jeopardise that by picking fights with their leader."

The Police Girl was also against him? How annoying. He sheathed his sword, he wasn't worried about taking both Grace and Rob at the same time but her addition definitely limited his chance for victory. The toothy grin had returned to his face the other two were simply in the way now, they weren't veterans of the war he and Grace fought in back then, they were outsiders to what he and Grace were accustomed to.

"Another time then," he said to Grace seemingly ignoring everything Rob said to him, truth was, he wasn't listening. His familiars faded out and he bowed to Seras, "you and I will have to see just who is the true lap dog of Hellsing wont we?"

Seras sighed at Alucards request and shook her head, "let's go."

Amy heard Sparda's request and simply looked back, "you're welcome to come along then devil man. I don't let that dog speak for an entire organization."

She of course headed back into the gates of the old RPD and walked the stairs back into the grand hall, most of the workers were standing ready with weapons but she waved them off and they moved back to their posts all of them whispering over what they had witnessed.

That was damned fortunate - Alucard's bravado hadn't blown Rob's diplomatic chances out of the water after all. He spared one last look in Seras' direction before turning to follow Amy, climbing out of his fresh crater with thudding footfalls. Step by step, his monstrous body shifted and shrank as he willed it to return to its normal form, until by the time he crossed the gates of the old RPD building, the only outward sign of his mutation was his amber eyes.

He could feel the eyes of Amy's guards on him as he passed, and kept his own eyes forward. Quietly, he bristled with frustration. What an utterly embarrassing sight; Helsing's three heaviest hitters, bickering like child siblings at odds with each other, before the eyes of the very people they were supposed to be reaching out to as allies. He faced an uphill battle if he was to convince the Maiden they were worth the trouble.

"Thank you for being willing to hear me out," he said to her once his erstwhile vampiric friends were out of earshot. "Robert Cain, at your service."

She came to the front counter and turned leaning on it, after Robert entered two guards closed the doors behind him locking Seras and Alucard out into the vast nothingness now beyond those doors. So far Helsing hadn't proven itself as anything more than a group of unnaturals who couldn't control Alucard, then again Alucard was the only reason she was sitting here now, so she gave him a pass there. She did kind of cause that fight to happen, she could have simply handed over the gun, but where's the fun in giving him what he wanted just because he barked loud enough?

Amy was well aware of Seras Victoria, she hadn't had many run ins with the vampress but she respected what Seras did for Hellsing and New York in 2026. Plus she was kinda cute and Amy had a thing for the kinda cute ones.

"Amy Grace," she said, of course he already knew that it was just formal at this point, "don't think of this as any guarantees, just as I told Roman Faust, I'm willing to hear you out but get in the way of my goals and I am also willing to cut you down just as fast... That being said as well, I have a respect for the history Hellsing has with the organizations I've worked with, so I'm willing to be civil."

He heard the doors click shut behind him, and was sensible that he was very alone, in the middle of the lioness' den. Of course, if this all went wrong and things turned ugly, probably the only individual he needed to worry about was right in front of him, but he would still have a battle on his hands. Though they didn't look the part, two of the most dangerous BOWs on the face of the earth now stood across from each other at the table of diplomacy.

"Firstly, let me apologise for Alucard. I know how that whole scene looked, so I'll be frank with you - nobody controls him, not really. He chooses to submit to the authority of individuals like Elias and Sir Integra, partly because they're among the fortunate few to earn his genuine respect, partly because it amuses him to play the game according to at least some kind of rules. Your interests and those of the Helsing Organisation can align, absolutely, but when it comes to Alucard?" He could only shrug. "Best you can hope for sometimes is to share common enemies, and even then, better to just stay out of his way. He's a wildfire, not a weapon. He can't be controlled - only unleashed."

He adjusted his coat and straightened his stance, hands now clasped behind his back. "That's the bad news, I suppose. The good news is the rest of us have more goddamn sense than that. So I'll lay things out for you. As you're no doubt already aware, we've gotten our hands on the old Arklay mansion and we're here for the long haul. Our mission stands as it always has: protect the innocent from the unnatural, first and foremost. What Elias wants most between us is to know that your designs for this messed-up country won't jeopardise that. So long as we can have that assurance, you'll have a friend in Helsing, and your enemies will have that much more to worry about. For what it's worth, as a BOW myself, personally I'm behind you all the way - I'm excited to see what you might achieve."

"Don't apologize for the red dog of war, he is his own being. I have a very long history with him dating back to the early 2000s. It's why I goaded him into that little ordeal," she admitted, though it wasn't really her original plan, it just turned out that way.

She let him say his piece and as he talked she put her palms on the counter behind her and lifted her body off the ground and sat on the counter then when he finally finished his monologue about their goals and such she put her elbows on her knees and crossed her fingers leaning forward.

"First and foremost, Helsing in whatever form it is in, is an invader of my territory as much as the government that only exists because of Hellsings interventions and Wonderlands deeds. Second, I have no problem with this, unless your org decides to point its guns in my direction. Alice might have used diplomacy to her advantage, I on the other hand am feeling rather charitable with handing bodies to my enemies."

She clapped her hands, "I don't think I need to threaten you however, but I would like to be on the same page before I inform you that my only goal at this point is to remove any enemy that Tyrant and all Altereds have. Whether it be the government, shitty civilians, or Umbrella reincarnate. I will continue to lay down bodies until I get equal rights for my people or they have no people left to put in my way to change the world."

Thus the Maiden laid out her terms. Rob received the true message loud and clear; she was set on her course, and anyone who deterred her would be considered an ememy. All well and good.

"Then we have an agreement of a sort," Rob concurred. "Neither of us stands to gain anything from being in the other's way, and where we can work together, we can accomplish all the more. That being said, we will not be soldiers in your own war - only keeping the peace around it, making sure the people you're trying to make things better for don't have to suffer for whatever unholy mess we're all about to wade into."

“It’s not my concern what role Helsing plays, I just need to know you won’t be in the way of my revolution. I don’t throw threats out ideally but I have a lot more freaks than Helsing has trump cards and I’m willing to take my odds. So, as long as we can both agree to not step on each others toes I see no problem working with you on similar goals,” Amy said, her tone has lightened considerably, she even had a smirk on her face and the red glow from her left eye had began to dim as her power began to settle.

“Where does Helsing stand with the current administration? Integra always stood with the government because of her ties to the Crown. Is that a similar situation with your Lord Helsing?”
