"There isn't going to be any rescue, we have to get out of here!"
"None taken, we would've been up shit's creek without your help." It was odd how... relaxed, and chill he was, not threatening to murder them or trying to be a psychopath or anything like that. He smiled and let out a small laugh, it was such a relieving feeling, he hadn't felt this light in years. Like the weight of the world was finally off of his chest, never before had he felt such a near overwhelming joy at someone's death as he did with Hija.
But celebration would definitely have to come later. Hexacore was the new threat and with it came those 72, if they were anything like that Altered they ran into earlier then they'd have one hell of a fight on their hands. The fact that a new virus was apparently on the loose also didn't bode well but right now it was this resolution to a 24 year long conflict, and the justice that was delivered for all the wrongs that dead fuck committed that finally gave him a little peace of mind, even it was temporary. The fucker better not have been a clone or some shit.
He turned to Amy overhearing a bit of her conversation before chiming in on something she said. "Would you please stop scoring before I do? It's getting to a point where I'm never going to catch up." When Arix joked about cuddling up with Winters Adam laughed for a minute before it dawned on him. "Oh shit, Harmony's going to kill me for leaving her out of this."

"Awww don't worry Adam," Amy said slapping him on the ass as hard as she could without basically slamming his hip bone out of place, "I'll let Kris know you said hello while you go cuddle with the scary girl who used to make you faint every time you looked at her. Now I'm one hundred percent positive you were just passing out because she was cute."
This felt like old times, she liked it, maybe she'd stop being such a bitch toward him now that this was over. Maybe soon enough they could sit down with the survivors of White Rabbit and have a proper drink and a proper send off to the memories of those who had died.
"What about you Mr. President, you got anyone back home you're gonna go snog?"

"Nah," he replied to Amy, "I guess I could find time for that kind of stuff again. It has been a pretty lonely last four years, I was enjoying the super models back in New York I guess now I can pick and choose someone in the lodge to fool around with. Then again, scientists bitches are usually too freaky. One moment you're having a good time next they're strapping one on and looking at you like, 'call me Big Red because I'm about to leave a gaping hole in you.'"
He shook his head, "don't let the press hear me say that, I'll never get reelected at this rate."
Arix waved as he turned his back on them, "safe travels weirdos, I've got a date with destiny."
Let's see how well defended you are Mr. President.
He rocked forward a bit on the impact of her slapping his ass, but unlike back in the day he playfully returned the favor. "Don't do that, you'll ruin the reaction when I randomly walk into the bar one night when she's on shift." There was a definite levity to his tone with her, just like old times. He hoped this wasn't a one off thing because he missed interacting with literally his only best friend in the world like this.
He just shook his head at what Arix said waving his hands in front of his chest. "Not exactly something I wanted to know." He had a smile on his face. He gave Arix a wave good bye before going and collecting his things. "So, walk you home?" He asked as he holstered his pistols and slung everything over his shoulder.

"I'd prefer it if you drove me home instead," Amy said continuing her banter, "would be a pain to walk all that way. Pretty sure I broke the heel of my boot."
As she said that she looked back and sure enough it wasn't broken but from trying to stand her ground against some of Hija's attacks the boot was worn down, "and I really liked these."
The world would keep spinning for at least one more day, Hexacore handed them Himura willingly in a way it was a sign to the Conglomerate from Wesker that even the Devil couldn't get in his way. On the other hand, Hexacore didn't realize what they just started. She didn't need Arix's death to start a revolution anymore, if this Virus was going to be a problem then she already had a city willing to back her and now she had her family back.
"Oh... Well it sure would be a shame if some asshole used the Jeep we had as a giant IED." He joked, honestly it was just so weird joking so lightly about everything now. Yeah there were bigger fish to fry but right now this was probably the most elated he'd ever been. And it was good that Amy and he were at least on joking terms again.
"Yeah, hard same. We good?" He replied.
He nodded his head towards the exit, "C'mon let's get out of here, maybe we can find a vehicle to hot wire or something so you don't have to walk on that janky boot." He turned headed for the exit.

"We're good," she sand punching him in the shoulder lightly, "I'll walk barefoot or steal someones boots here, doesn't matter to me. Let's just get the fuck outta this place. Hives give me the creeps it always feels like something is watching you."
The elevator ride back up wasn't that bad, they got to see first hand the path of destruction they caused and Jolie even turned the lights back on at the main lift. When they got to the top of the lift and back to fresh air Amy took a deep breath in, "fuck that is nice. First breath that feels like actual freedom. Too bad X A G wasn't here to see that bastard eat it. She'd of been happy."
He took a gander at the total destruction they had caused together on their way back, his most proudest achievement was that whole testing facility filled with the corpses of the 300 tyrant types. It still amazed him, and showed him how truly far they had come since they were teenagers. Once they were outside he also took a deep breath of fresh air it was better than that recycled shit. It was the first breath of world truly rid of Umbrella. It felt as good as Alice and Carlos said it would.
"You mean that A.I. in your head you made friends with?" He teased looking around for a vehicle. It was so quiet compared to chaos that had unfolded hours ago. "What actually happened with that anyways?" He found what they were looking for eventually, it was a slick black SUV, probably what Himura had arrived in. He pointed it out then started heading for it.

"Eventually melded with my consciousness, part of what Arix did in order to make sure Umbrella couldn't hack into it and try to regain control. In a way she's part of me now even though all that remains is just the addons that once kept me alive," which reminded her that she would need to have those eventually removed now that she knew she could heal over scar tissue and regenerate areas of her body.
"Regardless," Amy said moving toward the SUV, "I can't wait to tell LJ and Gabe. They're going to shit literal bricks when they hear this shit."
"Fair enough." He replied, he really didn't know what to say about that other than how weird it was. Then again he couldn't exactly talk. "Gabe's totally going to be pissed that he didn't get to see any of it." He chuckled, placing his hand on the door frame near the window the sound of the doors unlocking could be head and he opened the driver's side door, leaning in the keys were still in the ignition. He hopped in and started the car up, waiting for her to get it.

"He'll get over it," Amy replied, she opened the passenger door and pulled herself into the car sideways and unlaced her boots kicking them off and let them hit the ground before turning and closing the car door, "I think we all will get to sleep easier tonight. In all honesty, even though my hip is still right now and it's hard to breath, this was a nice outing."
"Yeah my everything still hurts. But I agree." He put the vehicle into gear and drove out of the shipyard, down the path and into the woods following the path they came when they were driving to get to the place. He didn't move or say much, mostly because if he did it'd cause him to move which would hurt and that would suck while they were driving, which he explained to Amy. Eventually though they pulled up in front of the old RPD station, "Welp, here you are, and look at that, home before midnight." He joked casually.

With the silence she slipped into a nice little nap, it was nice to get some rest before the celebration she had planned but she was also feeling extremely calm even with the brink of another outbreak on the horizon. To a degree she was willing to face off with some zeds just to bring equality to the world again. It was a damn shame the world needed to burn in order to bring justice to their people.
She woke up as she felt the vehicle come to a halt and stretched, "good thing, I was about to transform back into a normal girl... Hey, don't be a stranger, yeah?"
Amy opened the car door and stepped out and leaned on the frame of the car, "and stop hiding jobs from me. Keeping me in the dark isn't helping when I have the resources and the trust of the actual people to get things moving."
