Rally the Rebellion -Legatus-

It had been a week or so since their last meeting and even still Amy hadn't met with the rest of TYRANT. She was still an outsider and still not formally the Maiden of Revolution. On one hand she wasn't planning to go out there and preach to them about being who they wanted her to be but she did have a plan to present herself in an ambiguous way that they would at least hear her out. If they were serious about starting a resistance against oppression she hoped they'd be serious about starting a resistance against Bio-Terrorism as well.

The location was a GENTEC warehouse, one that was abandoned some years ago for a large project that never happened. With GENTEC's leadership in a flurry after Sarah took a tumble off the twentieth floor Amy didn't think it would be a problem if they used this location as their own for the night. She was pacing back and forth waiting for Legatus thinking of how she was about to address the issues at hand and holding a relic of someone who was long dead in her eyes.

She could feel something scratching at the back of her skull knowing it was nearly time but also knowing that what she was about to ask of these people would put their lives in more danger than fighting the government.

[Legatus]

"It's time to get this all moving, eh?"

Out of the gloom, yellow eyes appeared behind Amy, and Legatus stepped into view. He panned his head left and right, taking in the dimly-lit warehouse. Not the most luxurious setting, but Amy's reasoning in choosing it was definitely sound.

"No pressure, but I've been anxious to see this. To hear your first address. Wouldn't be unfair to call ours an underdog story, considering what we're up against, but... we're ready to begin changing the game."

"Yes," she replied and kept pacing, she had never really don't a speech like this before. The last time she had been in front of a ton of people was because she needed people to understand supplies were coming and they weren't going to starve to death, now she was asking them to be her army...

A moment passed and her phone buzzed, she answered it, "This is Sears. Ah it's you."

Her face scrunched up with an irritated look, "We'll talk soon. No, until we talk you are my enemy. That is all.... That's fine."

She hung up her phone and looked to Legatus, "Jessica White. She's trying to relegate the damage her organization caused with their botched operation on the NEST. I've half the mind to send a proxy in my place to discuss with her... Either way."

"Are we ready?"

Legatus came to a stop behind the pacing Amy, and watched with his beady electronic eyes as she exchanged terse words over the phone with who turned out to be Jessica White. If he could have visibly raised an eyebrow, he would.

"I'd be happy to go have that conversation, but we digress. That's a problem for the future." He straightened up, clasped his hands behind his back. "Ready."

She put on the mask, it felt like a hundred years since the last time she wore it. The last time she was chasing down phantoms of her past, she had killed Ocelot, she sent Adam on a hunt to find her, she wore it during the raid at GENTEC, this mask had become an identity for her. She looked back at him and nodded then stepped over to the doors pushing them open. There were around a hundred people in the warehouse each of them wearing a different helmet or mask covering their faces.

The Maiden of Revolution crossed and climbed onto a table and there was silence without her asking for it.

"Good evening everyone," she said, she was actually nervous and thinking of everyone in their underwear wasn't going to help it.

"I've asked you all to come here for several reasons, I feel like you should know that I do exist, and I am here to fight alongside you for our rights and our freedoms. The problem lies with the others around us causing problems for us and endangering us and the lives of everyone around us. One incident brings Helsing to town and kills countless people, who responds to that incident? The RPD was in shambles and there was no one there to counter the issue.

"The RPD was attacked days after a B O W breakout and days after the massacre on Warren street and who came to their aid? I was there yet it wasn't by choice it was by coincidence. Ladies and gentlemen I am not asking you to put your lives at risk but if we want freedom and we want rights for all of us we need to stand up and fight on more than one front. There are people out there suffering and they'll believe the fucking news that we're a terrorist organization despite the only things we've done as a group so far is throw paint on a wall and rally in front of the capital building. There are people out there getting hunted down and murdered because they are altered but WE ARE THE ENEMIES.

"IF we're the enemies then so be it, I will gladly be the enemy so long as there is justice for those of us that are murdered, so long as there are people protected by OUR mark, so long as the next bio-terrorism act is stopped by OUR HANDS. I have fought tirelessly over the last two decades as White Rabbit, Wonderland, King, Outer Haven, and now Tyrant, if you will follow me into war then I will guide you all through this revolution, we will see a better tomorrow, we will rise above those who would drag us through the dirt! WE ARE TYRANT!"

She donned the mask, pushed open the doors to the main warehouse, and Legatus followed at her right hand. There was a tension in the air, beneath the muttering of the crowd of masks, that persisted even as the muttering gave way to sudden silence. And silent they remained, so much so that the Maiden's address to them could echo in the hall.

Legatus smiled behind his mask to feel a different kind of tension rising in the room; an upwelling of excitement that waited to be released. As the Maiden shouted her last declaration, the crowd erupted all at once into uproarious cheers. Fists, blades and guns were raised, and spectators watching from the upper catwalks and stairways around the hall clattered noisily against handrails and metal plates.

"TYRANT! TYRANT! TYRANT!"

It was beautiful.

As the moment passed by, Legatus stepped forward and raised a hand, and the cheers wound down into another attentive quiet.

"Brothers and sisters. Many of you know this face, but have only heard my voice on the news. It was my duty to speak on your behalf, to be your voice in declaring our existence and intentions to the world, while I worked to prepare the way for this moment to come. Now, at last, you all stand ready to raise your own voices! We will speak as one, and we will be heard!"

To another chorus of cheers, Legatus raised both hands. "Make no mistake - our true work has only just begun, and there are far more and far deadlier battles ahead of us than behind us, but nothing worth fighting for was gained without sacrifice. So let none of the sacrifices demanded of us be in vain! Let us stride forward from tonight ready to lay it all on the line for altered everywhere who desire liberty and equality!"

He could hardly hear himself over the cheering, but he knew he had the attention of the whole room.

"We are TYRANT! Ours is the chorus of a new future!"

The crowd began to clear out, several people lingered however and she spoke with them one on one. There was one that stuck out, one not wearing a mask. He approached her and Legatus. He was a black male wearing a nice dress suit and blonde hair.

"A revolution starts in less than a thousand words based on a million actions done by those who oppress," he said approaching with his hands at his side keenly flattened against his suit to show he was of no harm.

"Who are you exactly," the Maiden asked.

"I am an underground gun launderer, I supply revolutions across the world, PMC factions, lone wanderers, it doesn't matter all are welcome to use my supply. You can call me Drebin," he reached into his pocket with two fingers and pulled out a card and held it out for them, it was holographic and the display caused a hologram to appear with the words "EYE HAVE YOU" to float above the card then wipe away and appear with his contact details, "if you need weapons, gear, it doesn't matter, call me."

The Maiden took his card and looked it once over, when she looked back up he had his hands in his pockets and was walking in the other direction, "when the fires start, consider my services."

She looked to Legatus and held out the business card.

In the wake of the address, as the crowd thinned out, Legatus remained at Amy's side. He himself fielded some few questions from the odd lingering attendee, answering with a candor which he hoped they would find comforting. When the unmasked stranger approached, though, he stood somewhat at attention.

He was content to let Amy do the talking to this Drebin. When she offered over the business card, he took it between two fingers. His eyes lingered on the back of the retreating Drebin's head for a beat, then he lifted the fancy holographic card to examine it. Eye Have You.

"I'm peripherally familiar with the name," he explained, and exchanged a look with Amy. "I'll check them out, make sure they're on the level. If I like what I see, I'll report back."

"Sounds good, be aware, we are moving back into 2015 territoriy," she said to Legatus, "it only gets more dangerous from here. I want our top members to realize we are going to be a huge target and anyone who fights for us is going to be risking their lives."

She looked to him, "from here forward it's a fight for survival and a war for the future."

[Legatus]

A war for the future? He couldn't show a smile, so he vocalised a laugh.

"That's what I signed up for," he assured her. "And I've been up for it since my BSAA days. I'm behind you every step of the way."

"Thank you," she said to him, "I need you to do me a favor then and find a way to contact the man behind White Rabbit and get me in touch with Helsing proper. If they're in the city I want them on my side."

"I'll be looking into Blu-Umbrella and the hive facility."

[Legatus]

"Helsing will be easy enough. I've confirmed that they've moved into the old Arklay manor - seems the boss dropped a lot of money on buying it from the city and renovating it for purpose. Reckon I'll head up there in person and have a chat with him. White Rabbit, on the other hand..."

Legatus set gloved hands on his hips and looked aside. "That'll be trickier, but I can get it done. Do you know of any former White Rabbits who might still be alive, could point me in the right direction?"

"LJ was talking to a man known as Marc the day Adam died, rumor through the grape vine is that Marc got the guys back together. I'd investigate that front. If you can't find a way to get in touch with him, you should contact LJ he might have a way. So far he's been my ear to the ground since he's so well connected and basically out of the spotlight."
