"It's been a year since her employ, the Chimera Virus is fully developed and extremely lethal. We place it at the top of our most lethal Virus's even ahead of the G. With what she's done in theory we could wipe out entire cities in hours and yet we can also use it to combat BOWs. The data on the Virus will be completely purged from the systems, there is only one sample located at... that's a big black mark. We've moved her onto the 300 project, she is willing to work with kids in order to eliminate their ailments. We'll slowly work her into the death row project as well," she said reading, Gabe was simply listening, he had been through this entire document before, he was just waiting for her.
"Next entry is several months later. Miss Winters has an understanding about how to manipulate the Type virus in ways that even Doctor Marcus cannot. I now understand why Himura wanted Doctor Isaacs involved, whatever he knows would easily put Miss Winters to shame and yet she's increased the success rate of survival in the project by five hundred percent margin. We'll be further looking into how we can acclimate these subjects into our soldier programs but for now we're leaving her in the dark about the 300 series. For now it's code named as such to save 300 lives for every one death."
Harmony shook her head, "Do you know where the Chimera Virus is?"
Gabe, "it's the Albino Black Sheep Alice chased from the time she found out about it until the day she died. For all we know it's lost."
He took a few minutes between the letters before finishing them up, the last ones seemed more like apologies and explanations about why she left and what all she was actually doing. It also came with information that seemed more like the typical Alice, sort of like command orders and things like that. Shit like who in the future to look out for and who he could rely on for help.
The final letter was dated around 2026 and it was her final letter, must've been written by her before they took on their final mission together and it went into detail of reminiscing of the past and things she'd witnessed or heard about him and all sorts of feelings and things that came off more like a proud mother. Urging him to finally settle down and find someone worth a damn, and if he didn't want to do that then asking him to protect Raccoon City and the people in it, all the people no matter how bad it got.
He folded the letter away and put the others away as well as stored away the box before joining the others out there in the main room and sitting down on a near by couch with his half drank beer in his hand.

"Page fifteen is the one you're looking for," Gabe said, he looked over to Adam as he sat down and Harmony rummaged through the pages and found a transcript and exchange between her and Hija Himura. There was no proper way to read it out loud but she did her best.
"Hija, thank you for your work on the three hundred project. So far your work has bettered the future for a lot of these children, more so it has also helped field research toward your own ailments. We can begin your treatment soon," she narrowed her eyes and didn't bother to continue for a moment then replied, "Winters, I'm just glad my work is helping. God knows society already abandoned these children."
She looked up at Gabe, "how the fuck did I go from this person to some twisted person?"
Gabe looked away and said, "page thirty."
She flipped through it, and just began writing, it was an entry from herself, "my treatments have me making irrational decisions. I've agreed to work on the Death Row project, a set of experiments to try to enhance the human genome and evolve people but it seems like I'm creating monsters more than helping. I've watched the development of a man named... blacked out... we call him Project Lucifer, his progress is insane. We've fielded him against other monsters I've created and personally speaking I am rooting for his survival in every experiment."
"Fifty three," Gabe said and she flipped through and began reading.
"I've been on bed rest for the last week now, Himura okayed my entry into the 300 series but Birkin is weary that the brain cancer has progressed too far. We all know I'm terminally ill and there's no turning back now yet I begged Mr. Himura until he broke down and gave the okay. He told me we would be using an experimental strain of the Alpha Parasite because it would be more aggressive to combat the cancer. There is a twenty percent chance of catastrophic failure by the Red Queens estimation... Well bitch... I'm going to prove you the fuck wrong."
"The next entry is one by William Birkin, on the next page," Gabe said and she flipped.
"Winters has undergone full bonding with the alpha parasite. We've logged her recovery progress and I've personally taken over her production after the sloppy work Doctor Serroth was performing. That man would be a better butcher than scientist. I have Doctor Marcus aiding me with the bonding process but we are positive it will take us years of fine tuning to get her right. There is a large possibility of memory loss and even more so than that she may mutate and we will lose her completely."
"I'll save you from reading on, Birkin stayed ahead of your recovery every step and spent two years into the outbreak working on keeping your recovery going. At the end of the day, Birkin deserves the cell he has because of his treatment of you. Without him you'd be a potato right now," Gabe said, he leaned forward and put his hands together.
He listened to the report as she read and Gabe guided her through things. It seemed really weird to hear Hija written about as some nice guy that actually cared about things other than death world destruction. Even weirder still was that he cared enough to bother helping one of his underlings or even pretend to care about the kids in the program. He stayed quiet for the most part but watched her out of the corner of his eye as he drank his drink, finishing off his bottle and getting up into the kitchen and grabbing a soda this time instead of simply drinking all their booze. He also got one for everyone else in the room and passed them out before sitting back down on the couch to listen more.

"What else is in here," she asked.
"Yeah, somewhere in the hundreds, it's an entry by Hija Himura around one thirty," Gabe replied and she began going through the pages and found it.
"Entry is to a personal archive... Unfortunately I've lost Blu-Umbrella in the raid and the offices in New York. Birkin has informed me that Winters is still in a comatose state and may not be recovering in time for phase 4 to replace Suki. I've delayed operation Chimera until her awakening."
"Two thirty two, this one I remember well. It's an entry by Himura in 2015," Gabe informed.
She found it and began reading, "Wesker has informed me that Birkin awakened every 300 in cold storage. Of them Winters was also awakened but she is no longer the asset I believed in ten years ago. I've set someone to follow her to gather information on her current state if it changes. For now, we are progressing on the new operation, one that will immortalize my ideals into this world."
"He never got the chance to complete that operation," Gabe informed, "my doing. Last entry is toward the back, it's about something called scorched Earth, something that scares me now."
She found the page among the very last few, the last entry by Hija Himura around a day or so before his fall, "Dragunov has acquired all that I need in order to set Scorched Earth into motion. All that is left is the detonation codes and I will end the world as we know it and set Phase 4 into motion. Alice, when you find these logs, if you survive, I'd like to let you know... I win."
"What the fuck was that last part?" He said as she read it aloud, something about that made him feel cold and feel a small sense of impending doom. What the hell was phase 4 and scorched earth? If they had been able to kill him would it have made much of a difference in stopping it or not? It was unlikely that they'd get the answers to those questions here.

"That, is a problem," Gabe said, "Himura set something in motion that we have no information about and Alice has been dead for a while now and these pages just surfaced a week ago. So, it's looking like he was prepared for it to all end and set up a contingency plan for a project he started twenty years ago."
"Who have you told about this," Harmony asked.
"You, I got through the documents two days ago so there hasn't been much time to talk to anyone given how long it takes to communicate around these parts sometimes," he said, "I advise informing Himura that daddy might still have a trick or two up his sleeve."
He looked over at Harmony listening to Gabe speak before he finally spoke up. "He's right, but it's really your call if we're being honest." He was speaking to Harmony and it was the simple truth and usually it was how he operated, the information that came from technically belonged to someone else and that was what stopped him from literally sending a message to the boss.

"We need to tell her, or else we're hiding a potential crisis. She's the one with the proper connections," Harmony said to Adam. She tossed the entire stack of papers to him, "backpack please. I'm going to need another copy of that Gabe. I want her to have all the information there."
"Got it," Gabe said and Jolie was already on it, she might not have been paying complete attention but she was still listening.
"Can you do that proxy thing on anything revolving around this," Harmony asked.
"Already done," he said, "word is Dragunov is making moves already like the preparations are already done."
"Sure thing." He replied as he stood up and caught the whole stack, it had enough weight behind it to make him exhale involuntarily but he moved it from his hands into his ratty looking book bag immediately. Before he zipped it up he brought it into the main room and spoke up; "Anything else we're going to need that could help us get ready for whatever's coming?" It was obvious by the way Gabe was talking that trying to preempt this was going to be an effort in futility so it might be better for them if they could get as ready as possible for when it hit.

"Let the Ice Queen know I set her up a line of communication to access the archives," Gabe said, "anything that we find will be there. If she wants to station someone here that's fine, they can help crack some of the encryption. Oh, ask her if she has any idea where Two or Nine are. Either of them might know something about this damn system, doubtful on Nine but who knows. She surprised us enough to turn on us maybe she found her hacking genetics."
"Will do, in fact let me just take care of that now." He said pulling out his U-device and clicking it on before inputting a message that would be sent directly Sazon's channel. It was a bit of a toned down version of what Gabe had said while he also cracked a small joke about what Gabe called her. But it passed on the relative information that she needed as well as the fact that they were coming back with more details regarding something with Hija's plans code named phase 4 and scorched earth. "Done. That said she's probably going to want us to return to base as soon as possible."

"All good things come to an end, yeah bro?" Gabe stood up he took out his phone and flipped it open and waved it over Adams device, "should be getting my direct contact information any second now. Do not hesitate to get ahold of me for anything. If you're on the run, if you need back up, if you need a damn beer, hit me up. Same for you love."
"Thanks boo," Harmony said in jest and Gabe chuckled a bit.
"Wonderland isn't a joke, we have numbers and resources, there's a reason Uncle Sam aint come to fuck with us yet, and a reason the shady fucks stay away," Gabe said, "last assholes who stepped the wrong way here got hung from the clock tower."
"Grim," Harmony said.
"It was by their feet, they got to walk," he said, "we're not monsters even if we were designed to be. Guess I'll have to meet with Amy to remind her that."
"Yeah I guess. At least I know where you guys are at now." His device chimed and displayed a holographic message: 1 New Contact Added!. "And how to get a hold of you too. And don't worry if I need your help I'm definitely going to call." He extended his hand grasping Gabe's pulling him into a bro hug which he held for a minute "Just be careful if you do. She's different and I know you know it." He spoke lowly to him when they were close before letting go.
He then turned to Jolie; "Sorry I couldn't catch up with you when you got here but, consolation hug?" He asked as he approached, this was a bit odd for him, usually he wasn't exactly the touchy huggy type but this was different he thought he probably wouldn't see these people ever again in his life and now here they were so it was definitely time to change his attitude towards things.

"No worries," Gabe said, "I've survived literally everything that's supposed to kill me. I don't think she can. I'm joking of course."
Gabe and Harmony exchanged a goodbye hug, Jolie lowered her headphones off her head, she was sitting on the floor cross legged and jumped up as she was approached and latched onto him like a koala bear when she hugged him and squeezed him, "it's okaaaaaaay I swear I didn't mess you being grouchy all the fucking time."
She let him go and punched him, "keep in touch, I miss randomly sending you music."
